PRESENTATION OF THE BIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF MODERN CULTURES

During twenty years as lecturer in the University of Padua, I have unsuccessfully proposed the introduction in the curricula of all students a general course, both theoretical and practical, devoted to the understanding of human cultures and sciences in existential, adaptive and evolutionary terms.

As the result of my failure, our doctors in Biology and Medicine, for definitions considered as the only experts about questions regarding life, are since ever uninformed about the fundamentals of Biology and therefore totally incapable to face our present biological problems.

The experience gathered in international meetings and through the usual mass media, convinced me that this tragicomic situation is just the same all over the world. There is clear evidence that nobody knows the general laws of life, although they belongs to the findings of modern biology and old religions. At the same time, under the protection of this general ignorance, everybody believes to be entitled to sentence, to legislate and to promote researches on human ecology, ethics and bioethics, genetic engineering, the defence of life, etc.. The hazards of these irresponsible behaviours are evident.

With this book, I suggest a way to erase our biological ignorance, offering to everybody a chance to understand their lives and knowledge in evolutionary and existential terms. The prize will be the understanding that our culture needs more adaptive fundamentals.

New schools and universities should be started in order to face this arduous task. In particular, I suggest that the following new courses and researches' field should be initiated, in order to evaluate and rectify:

1. the ecological inadequacies of modern languages.

2. the adaptive, evolutionary and epistemological value of religious teachings.

3. the adaptive values of different political programs.

4. the objective insanity of normal minds.

5. the reconsideration of modern laws in biological terms.

6. the principles of modern medicine and hygiene in the light of biological laws.

7. the fundamentals for an ecological sustainable capitalism.

8. the adaptive value of free time, sports and hobbies.

9. housing, landscapes and environments in the light of biological laws.

10. schools and teaching methods in evolutionary terms.

My book is offered free to everybody. I shall be pleased to collaborate with whatsoever person or Institution, if they are seriously interested in my studies.
